Life Still, crochet installation, Diffraction Studio, Gurrumbilbarra, Townsville, 2020

Life Still was installed the day before COVID lockdown and remained there for 3 months, the lights changed very slowly. Townsville CBD like everywhere else was totally deserted. Orignally it was to be installed for the opening of the new shop front as an extension of the Diffraction Studio, I decided to still go ahead with the installation regardless of COVID lockdown cancelling the event. I’m glad I did as people found joy seeing it when everything else was a ghost town.
