I was commissioned to install some art work for the City Times celebration in the penthouse at New Acton. The penthouse is a large “empty shell” with stunning views of Canberra. I chose to install some of my handmade crochet nets. Firstly to contrast and soften the rough industrial feel of the empty shell, making use of the plumbing fixtures emerging from the floor that there in the ready, and secondly to frame rather then block the vistas, enticing people to the window for a full enjoyment of the view.
